Im curious as too what sidebar modules are ??

Im currently using Widgets , is there a difference

I’m not 100% sure what widgets are, but I think that in general terms “sidebar modules” could be considered a specialized and specific type of widget.

With the latest release of K2 the sidebar module is included. So when you go to the admin : presentation there is a page for sidebar modules. Once there, you can drag and drop “modules” into your sidebar. Modules include things like links, categores, tags, etc. You can reorder the modules and do some other stuff. It really is an easy way to configure the content of your sidebar.
