Why Microsoft Is Better Than Apple

From the BBC news: “Mr Carter also announced that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation had contributed $40m (£27m) toward the eradication effort, and the British government had pledged a further $15m (£10m).”

The above is a reference to eradication of the Guinea worm. “Guinea worm disease may be eliminated within two years, former US president and anti-disease campaigner Jimmy Carter has said. It would be only the second time in human history, after smallpox, that a disease had been completely wiped out.”

Bill Gates (Microsoft) and Steve Jobs (Apple) have some things in common such as having an extremely large net worth. There are some differences too. From what I’ve read, unlike Gates, Jobs’s name does not appear in any public charity donation lists. Furthermore, Jobs has not spoken publicly about any charities or donations. The general feeling, as far as I can tell, is that Jobs like to keep his money all for himself.
